The Virginia Polo Center in Charlottesville, Virginia, played a series of exhibition matches on September 19 and 20, with the home team challenging college teams from England.

The event was put on by the BDG Virginia Polo Society, founded by UVA polo players Joevy Beh, Mauricio Diaz and Alexander Goodenough.

According to society chairman Beh, the idea for the group came about on a road trip to New York. “We were heading to Cornell for a polo game, and that nine hours of driving to Cornell was the day the BDG Virginia Polo Society was formed,” says Beh. (more…)
